Oscar’s apps are free Windows apps. No ads, no popups, no in-app purchases. Oscar’s apps do not collect, store or transmit any personal information.

Start with a blank sheet to compose your own tune. Write the lyrics and then add drag and drop chords for guitar, ukulele, baritone ukulele, 3 string cigar box guitars, Strum instrument for disabled players or the Piano, Keyboard.

New: extended support for Piano and Jostiband notation. Ukulele chords matching the Aquila string colors, and guitar chords matching the DR Neon string colors, making it even easier to see where to place your fingers to strum the chords.

Or pick one of the thousands of free songs from Jim’s Songbook. Filter on songs with 3 or less chords, and on the type of chords. The ‘Easy button’ will automatically change the key of the song to use simpler chords to play the melody.

Tunes are stored in the standard ChordPro format.

View the tune in the app using the auto-scroll feature or export a JPG image to share and view on any device.

The app can speak English and Dutch. It also shows the chord as an image on the neck of the instrument or in high contrast numbers.

Oscar’s Chord builder lets you easily generate chord images for 6 string instruments (guitar), 5 string instruments, 4 string instruments (ukulele) or 3 and 2 string instruments like cigarbox guitars.
Simply enter the fret numbers for each string, enter an x to mute the string.

Oscar Talks provides Augmentative & Alternative ways to Communicate [AAC] to those with special needs.

The user taps on tiles on the screen for the PC to say those words. The app comes with a set of tiles but the user can create their own vocabulary using plan text files. Custom images can be added to replace the standard drawings.

Using free Windows voices Oscar can speak many different languages.

As the user adds words to say, Oscar will provide suggestions for phrases previously used or common in the English language.
